What people say about Heart and Soul.
"I recently embarked on returning to work after a number of years at home raising my children. I did some courses in Food and Hygiene, Retail and Care Work at Heart and Soul. Jayne was not only instrumental in supporting and encouraging me, but shortly after completing the courses I managed to secure a job as a Care Worker. I have now been doing this for over a year. Thanks Heart and Soul for giving me the confidence to achieve this!"
Profence have been engaged with Heart and Soul Community for the past two years and we have supported the ‘fast track into construction’ programme by working with Jayne and the team to provide work experience opportunities within our fencing company, we have been able to provide a "first hand" insight into working on a construction site and this is because Jayne’s programme has ensured that all the candidates have come to us fully trained and fit for purposes with all the necessary requirements in training, such as CSCS card, asbestos awareness, first aid and manual handling.
Without this training the candidates would not be able to be given this opportunity as these are essential training requirements required to enter a construction site. What Heart and soul have provide is a unique and fantastic start for each candidates future employment and without this very helpful support for each individual, they may not have been given this opportunities.
The programme has been a great success as it has seen us taking on new employees. We have full intentions to continue to work with the heart and Soul team, Jayne and her colleagues shall continue to recieve our support toward the great work that they do within the community.

I attended an Adult Social Care course which was held at Heart &Soul Community Employment & Training Center. I was looking to get back into employment and the course enabled me to obtain certificates in Adult Care, CRP Life Support, Food Safety in catering (level 2) and Emergency First Aid at work (level 2). Now I finally had the confidence to start voluntary work once a week with the elderly, thanks to support and guidance given by the staff at Heart and Soul.

I have been working with Jayne and Syrona at Heart and Soul, for the last few months and in that time I have found them invaluable and incredibly effective in offering and finding work and guidance to those in need of training and employment
I hope to continue my association with Heart and Soul and use the facilities they offer, and as such, I am attempting to gain some Police funding for their use.
I would not hesitate to recommend Heart and Soul Community to any other agency, and give them my wholehearted support.
A students experience of Heart & Soul...
When I first arrived at Heart & Soul I was not at a high point of my life.
ln my fifties, out of work for over two years,
I did not expect the warm reception, which I received from Jayne Townsend.
ln my experience, the
whole process around unemployment is depressing. Your confidence is low, the advice you are given
often seems unrealistic and you are very much on your own.
The centre's facilities are excellent.
I gradually found that my attitude was improving and I began to feel more hopeful about the possibilities ahead. Jayne took great interest in each individuals and offered levels of support which I did not expect. Nothing was too much trouble for her. I have known people to go the extra mile, but Jayne is prepared to undertake any journey if she can see a way to help someone's employment prospects.
I now find myself in the position, three months later, of being offered just the sort of job which I thought was beyond me. All the objections which I had built up, all the negativity and hopelessness which I felt have gone. been absolutely life-changing.
Heart & Soul happens to be the place which Jayne operates from, but it is she who makes things happen. Her ability to see through any perceived problem, her desire for the best for people, her patience, commitment, drive and empathy are beyond anything I have experienced.
My hope is that as many people as possible get to find out about her and what she can offer. lf someone like me can get so much form the experience, then anyone can.

United Living can confirm that our newly appointed cleaner, has commenced her employment following her successful completion of her level one Health & Safety course and CSCS test which were both arranged via the Heart & Soul Community Wolverhampton.
The Employment and Training Centre offers an excellent opportunity for local people to obtain training careers advice in relation to the construction industry. Offering employment opportunities to local people is very important to our business and our new staff member has proven to be a very hard working, reliable addition to our team.
